View the video above to hear from Rob Verni - bb's cafe Robina Franchisee talk about why he chose a bb's cafe franchise...
bb’s cafe was created specifically for customers who are looking for a welcoming oasis - a relaxing place to enjoy a break and meet with friends. While many specialty coffee bars target the upper socio-economic market (typified by costly fit-outs, high prices and a very limited product range), bb’s cafe focuses on the broader section of the community that simply wants quality products at reasonable prices in a non-intimidating atmosphere.
The history of bb’s cafe is inextricably linked to that of DONUT KING, as the bb’s cafe brand was developed alongside the donut chain in its early stages.
The first form of bb’s cafe opened as “BB’s Donuts”. Three (3) of these stores were opened between 1985 and 1987. The first true franchised bb’s cafe store (then operating under the name BB’s Coffee & Bake) commenced operation in 1991. The first bb's cafe New Zealand outlet was opened in 1994.
In late 2004, due to results from extensive market research BB's Donuts began its transformation into bb’s cafe. The new logo and tag line emerged as a result and the brand’s positioning statement was developed.
The bb’s cafe system has grown to include over 60 outlets across Australia and New Zealand.
