THE WINNING RECIPE FOR BRUMBY’S FRANCHISEES
Franchisee team Lara and Scott Russell are preparing for their biggest year, yet.
The married couple have owned the local Brumby’s Bakery in Bulimba on Oxford Street since 2012 and have just rolled out a major refurbishment and several new items to their menu.
“Scott and I have lived and breathed the brand for well over 20 years and are now looking forward to the next chapter”.
“We’ll be introducing Di Bella coffee and reintroducing our Raspberry-Dipped lamingtons! Everyone loves our national favourite and this year we’ve added a twist”.
“People don’t seem to remember what a lamington should taste like until they try ours. They really do melt in your mouth”, says Lara.
Scott and Lara are the reigning champions for sales of the sweet treat nationally, and this month, these coconutty favourites will grace their storefront counter.
Lara says Scott’s family has been instrumental in the legacy and success of their time with the Brumby’s brand. In fact, his parents owned the very first Brumby’s branded franchise.
“We’ve always been about family, community and holding true to the traditional philosophies of Brumby’s – good old fashioned customer service and baking quality products”, says Lara proudly.
Continuing the practice of ‘late baking’, the duo are known to pull fresh loaves of piping hot bread from the oven in the afternoon.
“When customers hear that we give unsold goods to charities such as Meals on Wheels, they feel connected to something bigger and that’s something we’re really proud of”.
